I know these are probablly really easy but for some reason I can't figure them out.

(a) ax-b=x+c

(b) b(x-d) = c (x+d)

Any hints?? Thanks soo much! :)
 
Get all x terms on the left and all constants on the right then solve for x. In (b) you have to distribute first.
 
What are you supposed to do with these equations? (You did not include the instructions.)

If you're solving for x in terms of the other variables, then follow Gene's suggestions. If not, please reply with the instructions, showing how far you've been able to get. Thank you.
