Fasten your seatbelt and be ready for tons of new problems. A revenge for deleting my 1000\displaystyle 1000 posts.

I wasn't aware that 1000 of posts got deleted.
Are you aware as to who decimated them?

PLEASE just do the problems on your own without posting all of them to this forum 🙏

Why not just post the one or two that you're genuinely stuck on. Then you can post your attempt at the same time... in line with the READ BEFORE POSTING thread.

You are annoyed by my threads to be posted in this forum, but it is Okay for you 1000\displaystyle 1000 of them were deleted without a warning! It is either you understood the rules of the forum wrongly, or you are standing with the devil. Be a gentleman and stand with the innocents.

The deleted posts were references, I need to see them from time to time. They were solved with a lot of effort, research, and time. I cannot just solve them again from scratch. Whatever the rank of this stupid who deleted them, he/she has to let them back and apologize. After that, I will leave the forum for good.

I didn't feel annoyed at all when I wrote my post. I actually felt very sad 😔. I like this forum and don't want it to be abused/ misused.

I understand that you would be angry that someone has deleted your posts without warning. A warning would have been nice so that you could have copied them. I do feel sorry for you. I know that I have made some posts that I would like to keep (I think that I'll make a copy of these in the next few days). But, making threats isn't the best response.

I don't want you to leave the forum. It would be nice if you would remain and use it for its intended purpose (when you need assistance).

The forum isn't an archive. Please consider using a text editor on your own computer for this purpose. Or, if you really like a forum-style environment, then you could set up your own private forum using one of the free software options (myBB perhaps?) Then, set up MathJax or similar for rendering maths on your forum. This would probably let you search (and use it as a reference) that could never be deleted by anyone else 🤷‍♂️

I can't understand why this forum was hacked months ago... since most of the work is done by volunteers (it isn't a money making website). And I also don't understand why you insist on misusing it... which WILL deter some people from using it and speed up its demise. In my opinion it's all sad, very sad 😔

I am very surprised by your reply. Thank you a lot professor Cubist for the long response and care. You belong to the good rare people's list which contains a very few people whom I can count by my fingers. If this site was hacked, it deserves that in my opinion. The moderators and stuff in here are dictators, except of course tkhunny and Ted. These dictators ban members randomly for no obvious reasons. A few victims to mention were mario99, harpazo, mathdad, and many others. May be harpazo, sometimes was deserved to be banned, but most of the time, he was innocent. Even the most hard-working helper @The Highlander got banned for a few weeks because he only had a respectful argument with some Elite members. I was shocked by the ban because he (@The Highlander ) was right and they were wrong. And they started it! An Elite member thinks that he is a God. In the same time he makes a lot of mistakes! A god doesn't have these properties! You Elites are just strong because the moderators are biased. Of course not all Elites are bad, but only a few who do not belong to the garbage list. Let this site be hacked for eternity if these tiny kids will not be changed completely.

If my posts were deleted permanently, I swear that I would be the next hacker. And the attack would be heavier!

I don't understand all this about 1,000 of your posts having been deleted.

As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been anyone in the forum for months that would be capable of deleting your posts! (ie: someone with moderator privileges.)

If someone with that capability had logged in they would probably have banned you and deleted all your posts given the clamour & outcry you were raising among the regulars. 🤷‍♂️

Furthermore, if you had made over 1,000 posts (1,609 if your current total of 609 had been reduced by 1,000), your own status would have been automatically raised from "
Full Member" to that of "Senior Member" which I doubt would have been affected by any post removals.

I seem to recall monitoring your post levels when you were (previously) at your most active (because I suspected that the reason you were posting so many frivolous and inappropriate topics, eg: foreign language translations, was that you were simply trying to raise your own status to that of an "
Elite Member") but I don't recall your post total getting anywhere near 1,000!

Are you absolutely certain that any of your posts have been deleted? How do you know?

Did somebody just tell you that 1,000 of your posts had been deleted?

Could somebody have been just 'winding you up' about this?

You have done more than your own fair share of trying to upset some members by taunting or insulting them. Perhaps someone is just trying to get you back for past offences?

Might it be that you are simply getting a little bit paranoid over something that hasn't actually happened?

It may be worth noting that, if you click on the number of messages (currently 609) quoted against your user name and open in a new tab, a list of your posts is produced but there appears to be a limit of 10 pages to that list so it only provides access to your last 200 (or so) posts!

Are you absolutely certain that you have really suffered this perceived injustice????

I am certain 100%\displaystyle 100\% my posts were more than 1500\displaystyle 1500 before two months. May be even more than 1600\displaystyle 1600. I remember clearly that I was very close to the 2000\displaystyle 2000 and I thought that would promote me to an Elite. Probably I got banned too and it got expired within the absent period. I have noticed that all of the posts written in 2025 were deleted and probably with one click by select all. No previous posts were deleted. It is very strange!

My first guess is that my posts were deleted by a frequently visiting member. If I didn't get banned, then he only has very limited privileges, not including validating new members' posts. If my current posts got deleted again, you should know that the giga dummy kid came back. My second guess is that the hacker has deleted them!

Let us assume that only 400\displaystyle 400 posts of mine got deleted as I am very sure that I was promoted to a Senior, a Title you get only with at least 1000\displaystyle 1000 posts. The question is who deleted them and why he did not share any information with any of the Elites? Or maybe he did but the Elites don't care to share the information with you Seniors and Full members because they think they are superiors!

Whether he was a staff, moderator, an Elite, a man, a woman, or whatever, F U C K him/her. If he/she was a hacker, I stand with him/her and give him/her a big applause👏even if he/she has deleted my posts. At least I have a compensation, the F U C K E N moderators are no longer exist.

In February 20th\displaystyle 20^{\text{th}}, I reached 1000\displaystyle 1000 posts. Let us say after that I created 10\displaystyle 10 threads each week. From February 20th\displaystyle 20^{\text{th}} to April 20th\displaystyle 20^{\text{th}} that was 8\displaystyle 8 weeks with 80\displaystyle 80 threads. FYI, my last day was April 26th\displaystyle 26^{\text{th}}. Now I have 1080\displaystyle 1080 posts. 20\displaystyle 20 of the 80\displaystyle 80 were languages. Each language thread needs at least 10\displaystyle 10 posts to be fulfilled, that was 200\displaystyle 200 for all. At least 10\displaystyle 10 of the remaining 60\displaystyle 60 were accounting. Each needs at least 10\displaystyle 10 posts to be fulfilled, that was another 100\displaystyle 100. Now I have 1380\displaystyle 1380 posts. At least 10\displaystyle 10 of the remaining 50\displaystyle 50 were multiple choices. Each needs 10\displaystyle 10 posts to be fulfilled, that was another 100\displaystyle 100. Now I have 1480\displaystyle 1480 posts. Let us say the remaining 40\displaystyle 40 threads were fulfilled with 150\displaystyle 150 posts. Now I have 1630\displaystyle 1630. Let us say the side talks and helping members fulfilled 50\displaystyle 50 posts. Then, I had at least 1680\displaystyle 1680 posts by April 26th\displaystyle 26^{\text{th}}.

I'd rather suspect some software issues instead. At least nobody feels addressed by those rants here.
That's one possibility.
About 6 or 7 years ago, a friend of mine here, Denis, suddenly lost almost half of his more than 10,000 posts without a clear explanation.

It could be.

😱

I accept the fact that the deletion could happen without a human's touches. Most of my deleted posts seems very basic for some members but some of them hold valuable information that I need to spend tens (may be even hundreds) of hours to get them back again. It's not only I lost my references, I also was about to be promoted to an Elite😭

One thing that I am 100%\displaystyle 100\% certain of is that all threads (not posts) I created in 2025 were deleted. What a peculiar error!

"I like this forum and don't want it to be abused/ misused." Me too @ Cubist, I enjoy helping genuine students in need of help, but I find myself logging in less and less often. Sad really. :(

I'd rather suspect some software issues instead.

I did some research tonight. It seems that XenForo has a feature called "spam cleaner" that can be configured to take actions (like deleting posts) based on things like the number of threads started by a user. And, it seems that this can be triggered automatically (type "xenforo how to trigger spam cleaner periodically" into a search engine). Therefore, probably, there is no moderator responsible for this.

@logistic_guy can't you see that it's futile to battle with this software/ configuration. You'd be wasting your own time and you'll probably be very angry and upset when your posts are deleted again (if you keep on). Therefore, for everyone's benefit including yours, please limit your posts to the problems that you are genuinely stuck on 🙏

If XenForo is similar to the forum I had been a moderator of, which also uses XenForo, then "spam clean" deletes everything, including the account. It doesn't make sense to clean spam by partial removals. I doubt that anybody had written a query that would have been required for the deletion of "many" posts, but not all of them.

Please see the video on this page...
https://xenforo.com/docs/xf2/spam-cleaner/#using-the-spam-cleaner
it seems the feature has check boxes to choose the actions:- delete spammers threads; delete spammer's messages; ban spammer; check IPs
...and I'm pretty sure that I saw information on other pages that imply you can choose to "trash" instead of permanently deleting.

To me it makes sense to have a filter based on number of threads started in a certain timeframe. Perhaps the rule is "more than 1000 threads in any one year = spam", therefore delete just these threads? But at the end of the day, I'm guessing 🤷‍♂️. To me this seems more likely than a bug in Xenforo. We may never find out.
