About 6 or 7 years ago, a friend of mine here, Denis, suddenly lost almost half of his more than 10,000 posts without a clear explanation.

Perhaps the rule is "more than 1000 threads in any one year = spam", therefore delete just these threads?

If XenForo is similar to the forum I had been a moderator of, which also uses XenForo, then "spam clean" deletes everything, including the account. It doesn't make sense to clean spam by partial removals. I doubt that anybody had written a query that would have been required for the deletion of "many" posts, but not all of them.

Mainly because I found it overmoderated, and it turned into stress. And also partly for political reasons. In fact, I wanted to delete the entire account and was persuaded to stay.
