I'm having problems solving this one. Can you help me?

2x^2 - (4 - x^2) = 6x - 4

If it helps, put the understood "1" in front of the parentheses:

. . . . .2x² - 1(4 - x²) = 6x - 4

Take the -1 through the parentheses, and simplify the left-hand side. Then move the two terms on the right over to the left. Simplify.

Then solve the quadratic by whatever method you prefer.
