I am changing my answer of the last post that I did regarding this same question.
Perhaps I needed to write it this way.

22/q-4 - 7/q-4

=22/q-4 + 7/q-4

=29/q-4

22+7=29

You were originally CORRECT!
WHY would you want to change the sign?

Like, if you're asked 22 - 7 = ?
you don't change it to 22 + 7 = 29, right?
Same thing with complicated looking stuff.

Couple points:
important to use brackets; your 22/q-4 - 7/q-4 should be 22 / (q-4) - 7 / (q-4);
there is a big difference between 22/q minus 4 and 22/(q minus 4).

And next tine you want to make a change or add to a thread, DO NOT start
a new thread: only creates confusion.
