Integration of ( sin x ) / ( 1 + cos^2 x ) dx

Indefinite integral of ( sin x ) / ( 1 + cos^2 x ) dx

i sub u = 1 + cos^2 x , but i can't figure it out after this step. THe sinx dx goes away but i'm left with other problems

\(\displaystyle \int\, \frac{Sin(x)}{1\, + \, Cos^2(x)}\, dx\)

Substitute

Cos(x) = u

-Sin(x) dx = du

Now continue....
