intergration of absolute value

Without knowing if this is a definite or indefinite integral, it's hard to be specific, but I would suggest starting with breaking the absolute-valued function into an equivalent piecewise function (assuming the quadratic goes below the x-axis at all), and integrate the pieces.

Because x2+4x−3>0 if x<(−2−√7) or x>(−2+√7), then one would use x2+4x−3 for any integral on that set.
But, use −(x2+4x−3) on its complement.
