I have invested in a coin worth $23,000. I own .02 of the coin. If the coin were to raise to $100,000 how much would my .02 of a coin be worth.
 
Of means to multiply. So .02 of a coin be worth = .02*$23000 = ...
 
Since $23,000 was the original "value" of the coin, 0.02*23,000= $460 is what I presume you actually paid toward the purchase of the coin. If the coin's "value" has increased to $100,000 then your share of that coin's value is now 0.02*100,000.
