? We are aware of a forum-software issue, when posting * symbols. Sometimes, the forum will remove an asterisk and replace it with BBCode (Italic) tags.
If you type * symbols, then be sure to look over your post (before AND after submitting it), to verify that everything appears as you desire.
We hope to find a fix, at the XenForo support site. In the meantime, possible workarounds are to (1) insert spaces around problematic * symbols or (2) use LaTeX.
