Ok here goes nothing ....

I have a very simple document that has a LOT .... of data included on it .... I'm working on a project for high school ...I'm currently taking Programming II which is an advanced course but that's another story this has to deal with math ....

I have a program that I am working on .... and it is for a reel spinning game .... it currently has multiple games .... I have done the math for 2,200,000 spins of the wheels and have come up with different values ...I currently have a document for 80.278 % , 80.293 % , 85.540 % , 85.555 % , 88.091 % , 88.107 % , and 92.536 % ...... this game is 25 lines ...... I have other games that consist of 8 lines ... 15 lines .... 50 lines .... and 100 lines .... at first I was thinking about it and I said oh ok this will be easy ... if someone is playing my game using 25 tokens and I want to do the math for the game that is 100 tokens per play ... then I should just multiply all my results of tokens and how many by two ... but then I started thinking about it and my mind got the better of me and told myself I was an idiot for even thinking that ... I really don't know what logic to apply to get my results I need .... But I'm going to attach a zip file with some text documents in them and pray that someone can help me ....

Anybody who is cares about security is highly unlikely to open a file of unknown origin. You'll need to provide all the information here.

By the way, your stream-of-consciousness post leaves me quite confused. It would probably help if you posted the full and exact text of the (programming?) exercise you're working on, along with the complete instructions. When you reply, kindly please explain such things as what the point is that you're trying to make about "lines" and "tokens", and what it is that you're "thinking about" and why you think (whatever it is that you've done, are doing, or are trying to do) is incorrect.

Thank you! ;)

posted zip files

Contents of the uploaded zip file are posted in plain text below ....

I'm supposed to be doing the math part of the project ....

We're in a group of three people ... in a programming class .... one person will present the project one person will do the major programming part of the project and the last person will do the math part of the project .... everyone is divided into groups of three and we are creating a slot game

$1 = 100 tokens

most of our games are 5 reels ... 25 lines .... each game is to have 2,200,000 spins or plays .... players may bet anywhere from one point per line up to 5 points per line ... the math below is based on 1 point per line ... if you wanted to get 2 points per line you would of course multiply ALL of the money by 2 and that would equal 2 points per line .... in example the larger the amount of tokens you put into play the more you would win ..... but the below is 25 lines being played .... we have 8 line ... 15 lines .... 50 lines .... and 100 lines .... i know since i have this math already done which took about 3 weeks in total for me to do ... this is only a 6 week project .... i know that with this there is an easier way or there has to be a shortcut so to say to generate the other lined games math values .... but i just don't know how to do it ... sorry if this all sounds confusing. :(

also i couldn't paste all the information into the box i'm limited to 10,000 characters and in total it's 54,000 sorry i re uploaded just the text documents with the pay math

What is meant by "reels"? By "lines"? How are they related, if at all? What are the "prizes"? How is the money determined? What are the rules of the game?

What, exactly, are you trying to "do the math" for?

What, exactly, are you trying to "do the math" for?

we're making / simulating a slot machine .... with percentage payings .... so reels would be 5 wheels that spin ... lines would be how many different chances there are on the board .... there are 25 lines so there are 25 different combinations of lines that have been drawn on the 5 reels .... the prizes are on the left hand side ..... and the amount of each prize is listed on the right hand side ... the money is determined by a random variable .... but it has to keep the percentage at the bottom of the pay table

Looks to me like not really enough information if I am reading your tables correctly, i.e. a list of payout vrs. number of winners, for example. in one of the lists we have $0.00 1592165 which would translate as 1,592,165 spins won nothing. In the same table you have, if this interpretation were correct, 2 players won $18.72, also 2 players won $19.12 and ....

If you have 5 (j) wheels with 2 (k) possibilities then you have 25 = 52 (ki) combinations of possible results. The expected results of running many (2, 200, 000 should be enough) trials are
Expected winning = \(\displaystyle \sum_{i=1}^{i=k^j} P(a_i) A(a_i)\)
where \(\displaystyle a_i\) is the ith combination, P(\(\displaystyle a_i)\) is the probability that \(\displaystyle a_i\) will occur and A(\(\displaystyle a_i)\) is the payout if \(\displaystyle a_i\) does occur.

Or maybe I misunderstood the problem.
