Joe's front door is 4 feet above the ground and 35 feet from his driveway. He wants to install a ramp. If he wants to have the slope to be not more than 8%, can he build it straight toward the driveway? no

.08=4/x x=4/.08=50ft

If he builds it straight and stops 3 feet before the driveway, what will be the slope?
slope=rise/run=4/32=1/8

Is this correct?

a)
minimum slope is 4/35=.114 or 11.4%
answer no and we agree so I must be right

b)
4/32= 1/8 = .125 or 12.5%
your fraction is correct but you should confert it to slope.
