Kelli loaned Kerri $785.82\displaystyle \$785.82, and 2\displaystyle 2 years later Kerri will pay back $854.29\displaystyle \$854.29. How much total interest will Kelli receive?

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.

Please follow the rules of posting in this forum, as enunciated at:

There is a reason why I am called the Lord of mathematics!

The interest is 854.29785.82=$68.47\displaystyle 854.29 - 785.82 = \$68.47

💪😏😏

@logistic_guy. Can you please explain why you posted this simple question as you obviously know how to get the answer? (And it isn't the only time!) Is it just to rile some of us up?

Yes. I know I could have just scrolled past without comment but I just want to understand why.

Hope this comment doesn't reduce my "ranking" on your list!

You asked a very good question Harry. The answer is because I am reading a Finance's book and I decided to answer all its questions publicly. The level of the questions' difficulty vary. This means that eventually the questions are going to be harder and harder. Even the great jonah2.0\displaystyle 2.0 will get stuck one day!

And don't worry about your ranking, it's preserved!😉

Why? That seems to be a waste of time for both you and us and makes us (me, at least) less inclined to read your posts, besides that not being the purpose of this site. I am more than happy to help with problems you genuinely need help with, but not willing to waste my time reading through the mundane until I get to a genuine one. I think others would agree with me.

You have a good point. And I appreciate your feedback, and I can understand where you are coming from. My intention is not to waste anyone's time or add unnecessary clutter. I will definitely take your point into consideration and make sure that my posts are more focused and to the point moving forward. If I have any questions or need help, I will make sure to present the ones I am struggling at in a clearer and more direct way. Thank you for your honesty, and I hope to contribute more constructively in the future.

So what happened to this idea??

None!

With inflation at 10% she's getting back less than she lent Kerri. 🤷‍♂️

This idea sounds like a politician's idea. Do you trust him? I don't!

Like the mark in Germany after World War I? One US dollar was worth 4,210,500,000,000\displaystyle 4,210,500,000,000 marks. I cannot tell who is the happy here Kelli or Kerri?

🤷‍♂️

Beer drenched reaction follows.

I guess logistic_guy wasn't really earnest about it.
I was totally serious, but I think Harry misunderstood my point.

Did he now?
Your point was pretty straightforward as posted but as usual, you like to give it a twist.
So what's the new interpretation this time around?

The new interpretation talks for itself. I don't need to explain things every time!

😕
