Does anyone know how to get the x0\displaystyle x\to 0 to display under the lim when typing limits?.

Sometimes it does for me and other times it does not. I tried \displaystyle but it does not work like it does on other sites.

limx01x\displaystyle \Huge\lim_{x\to 0}\frac{1}{x}

elimx0x\displaystyle e^{\Huge\lim_{ x\to 0}-x}

See what I mean?. In the last one the x0\displaystyle x\to 0 is ****-eyed out away from the lim.

Playing with MathType, I get something like the following:

\(\displaystyle e\nolimits^{\Huge\mathop {\lim }\limits_{x \to 0} - x}\)

\(\displaystyle e\nolimits^{\left( {\Huge\mathop {\lim }\limits_{x \to 0} - x} \right)}\)

Are they any better?

Best I can do, if there were a way to make the x \to 0 smaller it would look good i think.

\(\displaystyle \huge e^{^{\,\, ^{\,\, \lim}_{ x \to 0}{\frac{1}{x}}}\)

Thanks all. I will give it a go. Other sites I have visited use \displaystyle. That fixes the problem if it displays out from under the lim.

But, alas, on this site it does not work.
