I'm having problems solving limits these days. The latest:

lim(x,y)->(0,0) [cosx - 1 - (x^2)/2] / [x^4 + y^4]

i tried changing the function to f(x,cx) where y=cx but still was no help.

any ideas?

i am under the impression it doesn't exist as all the components seem to go to 1/0 as x approaches 0.

\(\displaystyle \L\\\lim_{(x,y)\to\(0,0)}\frac{cos(x)-1-\frac{x^{2}}{2}}{x^{4}+y^{4}}\)

I believe you're correct. She's undefined. Maple even told me it was undefined.
