ok.... i'd love to see the answer to this, and the steps explained about how someone gets to the answer would be VERY helpful. I gues i just never really raised a quantity to a quantity before....

lim as h approaches 0 of {[(x+h)^(x+h)] - x^x}/h

Isn't this the definition of the derivative of \(\displaystyle f(x)=x^x\)? (If you say no, I'm gonna have to ask you to look up the definition of derivatives in your book/notes).

So basically, find the derivative of that function.
