limits: find "a" so f(x)={2x+a, x<0 ; x2+1, x>=0} has limit at x = 0

set the value of a so the function will have limit on x=0
f(x)={2x+a, x<0 ; x2+1, x>=0

What are your thoughts? What have you tried? How far have you gotten? Where are you stuck?

For instance, you used what you'd learned back in algebra to find the value you'll need for x = 0. You set the expression "2x + a" equal to this value, plugged in the value for x, solved the resulting linear equation for "a", and... then what?
