Hey I had some questions on Limits and I think i understand but it seems to easy so I don't know if I had an error anywhere or not. I have two questions and I would like to know if the answer that I got was right or if I did indeed make some error somewhere.

find the Limit as x approaces 1 from the left.
(sqaure root of (1+x))/(4+4x) For this one i got the limit to be .177 apox

the next question was. Limit as x get closer to 2 from the left

(x^2+1)(int(x))/(3x-1)^2 for this one i got .4 apox

I would be really grateful if someone took the time to check these for me if they are right than i'm on the right track:) but if they are wrong.... ohh boy Thanks:)

1) lim<sub>x->1-</sub>sqrt(1 + x)/(4(1 + x))

Since there is no discontinuity at x = 1, you can just evaluate: f(1) = sqrt(2)/8, which is close to what you got.

2) What is the "int()" function? Is this an "integral"? If so, what are the limits of integration?

Eliz.
