Need to solve and graph two linear equations

2x+y=13
5x-2y=1

2(0) +y= 13
(0,13)

2x+0=13
(6.5,0)

5(0)-2y=1
-2y=1
(0, -.5)

5x-2(0)=1
5x=1
(1/5, 0)

I came up with (4,5) and the answer is supposed to be (3,7) Where did I go wrong?

2x + y = 13

(0, 13)

(6.5, 0)

5x - 2y = 1

(0, -0.5)

(0.2, 0)

I came up with (4,5)

Where did I go wrong?

You have not provided sufficient information for anybody here to answer this question.

We can't see your graph.

Your intercepts above are all correct, so I would guess that you did not properly graph the lines.

Did you use graph paper ?
