½ log root16 + 2log (½)

and

2log 4 + log 9 - ½log 144

could you please tell me ways in which we could solve logarithms like this

many thanks

½ log root16 + 2log (½)

=½ log (16[sup:nke02d0h]½[/sup:nke02d0h]) + log ([½][sup:nke02d0h]2[/sup:nke02d0h])

=log (16[sup:nke02d0h]¼[/sup:nke02d0h]) + log ([½][sup:nke02d0h]2[/sup:nke02d0h])

Now continue.....

and

2log 4 + log 9 - ½log 144

= log(4[sup:nke02d0h]2[/sup:nke02d0h]) + log(9) - ½log 144

= log(4[sup:nke02d0h]2[/sup:nke02d0h]*9) - ½log (144)

Now continue.....

so if im not wrong the following question:
log (root x)^5
= 5log (root x)
= x^5/2

am I correct?

log (root x)^5
= 5log (root x)
= 5/2 * log(x)

or

= log(x[sup:x3u732t8]5/2[/sup:x3u732t8])

am I correct?
