Margin of error

MY CALCULATIONS: 6.4% - 10.8% / 2 = -2.2% of margin of error
QUESTION:

oh yes... to answer this question am i supposed to calculate it as:
6.4% - 10.8% / 2 = 1% or 6.4% - 10.8% = - 4.4%/ 2 = -2.2%

equal signs must be valid!

You obviously know, based on what you wrote, that 6.4% - 10.8% = - 4.4% but you wrote 6.4% - 10.8% = - 4.4%/2 which is not true as -4.4%/2 does not equal -4.4%.

You wrote OR,`so is the answer 1% or is it -2.2% or is it both?
