Math final help!!! pleez

From alternate interior angles
4x=2y+14
From sum of angles in a st line
78+(2y+14)+ >GBD = 180 and
2x+4y+ >BDG = 180
from sum of angles in a triangle
4x+ >GBD + >BDG = 180
Use those equations to solve for x & y

i'm not quite sure.... wut do i plug in or wut to do?

i know angle BDG is 78 from corresponding angles so that means 4x+78+ >GDB=180?? correct

Solve for >GBD and >BDG
Plug them into the triangle equation.
Solve that with the first equation for x & y. Two equations in two unknowns.

well i found that angle bdg is 78 because angle eba is 78 and the lines are parralel but i can't find anyway to prove angle gbd but i know that angle abd all is 102 because it's supplemantry with eba.... if i could somehow prove the triangle to be isosolece then it would be good

Sorry, it isn't. You still have to solve two equations in two unknowns.
I missed your shortcut but you can still use the triangle equation.

ooooooo i got it i did 4x=2y+14 divided everything bye two subtraced 7 and got 2x-7=y i plugged that into the next equation which gave me 78+2x+4(2x-7)=180

i reduced and got x=13 and y=19 is that correct?

Exactly. I took the long way around but we ended up at the same place.
