Points A, B, and C are collinear and B lies between A and C. If AC = 48, AB = 2x + 2, and BC = 3x + 6, what is BC?
BC=

On a number line, suppose point E has a coordinate of −3,and EG=8.What are the possible coordinates of point G?
The possible coordinates for G are?
Please help!

Read posting guidelines. One problem at a time. Start with a diagram.

Hi Saul. Can you post what you'd tried or thought about, so far? Where in the exercises do you get stuck? Do you understand all the words and notations? Were you able to draw any diagrams? Such info helps us as tutors. Thank you!

Here are two questions (hints) to ponder.

If a 24-unit long board is cut into two pieces and the length of those pieces can be written as x and 2x, then do you understand why/how the equation x+2x=24 can be used to determine the length of each piece?

If I draw a dot at zero on the Real number line, then where could I draw dots that are five units away from zero?

?
