There are several ways you might do this; one is to find ratios of x to y and compare; another is to multiply 1.25 by appropriate multipliers corresponding to the values of x. I want to see how you are thinking, in order to help you use your own ideas to solve it.

When you say it like that so the answer will be proportional.
The ratio is x:y the numbers not the words.ex:2:1.25
you will have to divide.
Yes, you can divide 2 by 1.25, and the same in each row; or you could divide 1.25 by 2, which is a little easier; and you find that all the ratios are the same.

The corresponding to the values is 1.25 X 2
Yes, if you multiply 1.25 by 2 (which is what 2 was multiplied by to get 4), you get 2.5, which corresponds to 4; and so on.

Either way, you find that they are proportional. Just don't forget to check all the numbers, not just one row.

here it is

Sure, but it is preferred that you make a separate post for it. Thanks.

Where do you need help? Remember that we do not solve problems for students on this site.
When something is on sale what happens to the price? Did it happen for Kyle?

No, saying "in Math" does not answer Jomo's question, "where do you need help"! This is a math forum. Anything posted here is "in math". Jomo was asking "where do you need help" with this particular problem.

It says
"A company sells baseball gloves and bats. The gloves regularly cost $30 and the bats regularly cost $90. The gloves are on sale for $4 off and the bats are on sale for 10% off. The goal is to sell $1200 worth of gloves and bats each week. Last week, the store sold 14 gloves and 9 bats. Did the store meet its goal?"

They then show "Kyle"'s work and ask you to identify his errors. The first thing shown is the subtraction
$30
- 4
$26
Do you understand why Kyle did that? Where did the "$30" and "$4" come from? What does "$26" tell you? Kyle then multiplied that "$26$ by 14. Why did he do that? Where did the "14" come from?

Next is
$90
0.9
$100

Where did the "$90" and "0.9" come from? Why did Kyle divide? Does it make sense that on sale at "10% off" the price is higher? What should Kyle have done?
