I cannot work out how to relate the transformation matrix to the given functions.

If [math]y = -2 ~ cos(3 x)[/math] then what is [math]\left ( \begin{matrix} x \\ y \end{matrix} \right )[/math]?

If [math]y = 2 ~ cos(3 x)[/math], then what is [math]T \left ( \begin{matrix} x \\ y \end{matrix} \right )[/math]?
