Max and min values of a curve

Wondering if I'm on the right track.
Well you did the first and second derivative correctly (but, as ksdhart mentioned in the other post, pay attention to your variables. The derivative should be with respect to t not wrt x).

However, as you had in your other problem, it is where the first derivative is zero for a possible maximum or minimum and you need to check the second derivative to see if it is a max or min (or possibly do more checking)

ok thanks. The answer given in the book is a positive answer 2/3. Have I gone wrong some where along the line?
