What is the name of the horizontal line segment used to separate the numerator from the denominator in a common fraction?

Some people call it a vinculum, but this name properly describes the use of the bar as a grouping symbol in uses other than ratios.

The mathematician Fibonacci employed a Latin word "virga" to describe it.
