Need help with 2 questions i keep getting wrong

1. Given n1= 18, x1=50.2,s1=6.4, n2=18, x2=42 and s2=9.9, what are the degrees of freedom?

2. If n1= 22 and n2=15 what critical value would you use to test the claim μ1<μ when α=.05?

still need help with the below:

The combined DOF is 22+15-2=35 or the sum of the individual DOFs=21+14=35. This gives us a critical value of 1.690 approx. But it keeps getting mark wrong, so what I'm I doing wrong
