Need help with functions

The question seems confused. It starts to warm up at 4, not 6. It warms up to 74, not 70. Really then, what does the question want?

Typically, when writing the equation of a linear function, you just need two points. Can you identify two points? Here's one. (4 am, 65º)

I think they are asking you to translate the graph so that what was 6 becomes 4, and what was 70 becomes 74. That is, you need a function that might look like f(t) = ag(bt+c)+d, that will take into account the appropriate horizontal and vertical shifts. The clue is that they say, "Write a function in terms of g(t)". Otherwise, the problem doesn't really make sense. (And even as it is, we can't really be sure they expect only shifts and not stretches.)

Am I right that this is in a section on function transformations? That would be the clue you should have picked up on; if you had told us the context, as we request here, we would have known, too!
