in future, please use parentheses to make your expressions clear to those that read them.

(x+1)/(x-1) + (x+2)/(x-2)

common denominator is (x-1)(x-2) ...

[(x+1)(x-2) + (x+2)(x-1)]/[(x-1)(x-2)]

you clean up the combined fraction.
