You ought to have been given the right-triangle trigonometric definitions for sine and cosine, in terms of adjacent side, opposite side, and hypotenuse.
Do you know the definition for cosine?
Also, the longest side is called the hypotenuse. That side is not "TAN". It should be labeled "HYP" for hypotenuse. :cool:
