Non Gaussian to Gaussian distribution conversion

Can someone explain me how to convert a non gaussian waveform to a gaussian waveform with exact formula and numerical values (ex: how can the mean and variance be calculated from a non gaussian waveform for the newly generated gaussian distribution) taking some example (complete step by step conversion) please?

Can you explain what you're trying to do in a bit more detail?

Are you trying to generate numbers with a normal distribution from say numbers with a uniform distribution?

Yes... the waveform to be converted to gaussian may be any (not only uniform). Some generic solution will be good.
