I don't get why it is qnorm(0.95) in the R command, and not qnorm(0.9)?

It says 90% of the distribution.
 
Not sure exactly how the function qnorm(p) works but I'd say you are correct, it looks like a mistake.

I checked with one of my classmates too.
Its because it is central 90%, so it is 10% at each tail of the distribution. So I need to to use qnorm(0.95) as the probability.
