This year we will experience 4 unusual dates: 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, and 11/11/11.

Take the last 2 digits of the year you were born and the age you will be this year. It will equal 111.

This is not (always) true.

Example:

\(\displaystyle birth \ year: \ \ 1899\)
\(\displaystyle age \ this \ year: \ \ 112\)

\(\displaystyle 99 \ + \ 112 \ = \ 211\)

Neither when you were born on the year 2000 or 1000 - and so on....

That's why I had "you" in there - hoping that your birthyear would be within 1900 - 1999

Don't presume when *we* were born. You can hope all that you want when *our* birth year is/should be,
but you must have a robust formula. That's on you,

-------------------------------------------------------------

And back in the year 2010, a person born in 1900 to 1999 would have their sum be 110.

And back in the year 2009, a person born in 1900 to 1999 would have their sum be 109 - and so on down
to a certain prior year, so the sum of 111 is no more unusual.
