Determine a sine or cosine equation that you think best describes the motion of the weight5 as described by the measurements in data set A.

Data Set A:
Time : 4.2 / 6.3 / 8.4
Height [cm]: 36.4/ 8.8 / 34.1

Data Set B:
Time : 0.0 / 2.1 /4.2 / 6.3 / 8.4 / 10.5 / 12.6 / 14.7
Height [cm]:39.0/ 6.4 / 36.4 / 8.8 / 34.1 / 10.8 / 32.3 / 12.6

Amplitude: 36.4 - 8.8 = 27.6 cm
Horizontal shift left 4.2 Up: 36.4
y=27.6sin.....
Period 8.4- 4.2 = 4.2

For data set B,

The function you should be looking at:

y - C = A * e[sup:25qnkje8]-?t[/sup:25qnkje8] * cos(?t)[/spoiler:25qnkje8]

Re: Sinusoid

I'm not required to find Data set's B equation only for Data set A
So far I have:
Y = A sin(2pi/B(x-C)) + D

A = (.5)[36.4-8.8] = 13.8
B = 8.4-4.2 = 4.2

idk how to find C or D
