How do you find the dimensions of a triangular prism with a volume of 800ml minimising the total Surface Area? I have not been provided with any dimensions..

Assume the sides of the triangle are a, b and c. Assume the height of the prism is H.

What are your thoughts?

Okay then this is what i have worked out so far,

V= 1/2 l x w x h
S.A. = 2(1/2b x h) + (S1 +S2 + S3) H * I DON'T KNOW IF THIS FORMULA IS CORRECT*

so from there you can work out the height maybe? --> h=800/1/2 l x w

S.A = 2(1/2b x h) + (S1 +S2 + S3) H
= 2(1/2 b x V / 1/2 l x w) + (S1 +S2 + S3) H
= 2(1/2 b x 800 / 1/2 l x w) + (S1 +S2 + S3) H

Now i am stuck from here

Formula

So this is what i have figured out,

v= 800ml
V= 1/2 l x w x h --> h = 800/1/2 l x w

S.A = 2(1/2 b x h) + S1 +S2 +S3
= 2(1/2 x b x V/ 1/2 l x w) + S1 +S2 +S3
= 2(1/2 x b x 800/ 1/2 l x w) + S1 +S2 +S3
