Percentage Help Please (total cases and number of changes)

I need to work out the following into correct percentages and with the correct decimals.

I need to know if each one what the answer would be?.

I have attempted to do 133/39154 to find February answer = 0.0033968432 X100 =0.3396843234, would the percentage just be 0.33?.

Hi Paddy. In addition to proper rounding, the result 0.34 requires a percent sign. Otherwise, people might mistake 0.34 as meaning 34% instead of 0.34%.

We call 0.0034 the 'decimal form' of 0.34%.

The decimal form is what we get when we divide a percentage (like 133) by its whole (39154). Also, people often use the decimal form of a percent in calculations (to avoid having to divide by 100 each time a percent sign is present). We multiply decimal forms by 100% when we desire to express the percent with a percent sign.

Likewise, we interpret % to mean 'divide by 100'. That's how we convert a percent written with % to its decimal form.

0.0034 × 100% = 0.34%

0.34% = 0.34/100 = 0.0034
