A group consists 4 members, Lina, Charlie, James and Darwin. In how many ways can they elect a slate of 3 officers, consisting of a president, vice president, and treasurer?

I tried to answer it. I used permutation without repetition and I got 24 ways. Is this correct? the word slate makes me doubt my answer. I'm wondering if that means I need to use combination formula.

Can we see your work so we know how you got 24? The answer is 24.

First, I used the formula for permutation (without repetition) to solve:

Then I tried to double check by listing down all the possibilities. If my combinations are right, I assume 24 is correct.
