If we ignore parentheses, the order of operations in (24/100)∗300 is division, then multiplication. The order of operations based on the parentheses: division, then multiplication. You disregarded both rules.

I just wanted to add this caveat: it was omission by neglect nor by ignorance. I did it on the first post and then forgot to do it on the next. A mistake nonetheless,I know, but wanted to make that clear because you have put a lot of emphasis on that!.
