Besides notation, with what are you struggling?

Normally, "M" and 'm' would not be considered the same thing. Solving for "M" in the equation you have provided is a very odd task, since there is no "M".

Assuming you meant to solve for "m":

m/w - y = c

Add y to both sides

m/w = c + y

Multiply both sides by w

m = w*(c + y)

Where were you wondering off?
 
By the way, what does this have to do with trigonometry?
