Hi,
I have not taken a math course since college (25 years ago) and I am not an engineer, but I am trying to force my way through the book Fluid Mechanics Demystified because I think it will help me with my job. I have been able to understand most of the formulas in this book so far, but I just came across one for which I am stumped. I have attached a screen shot of a formula (for bulk modulus B) that has a vertical line on its right with the letter T (which I believe stands for temperature) at the lower right side of the vertical line.
I was wondering if anyone here can tell me what mathematical function this type of notation represents so that I can try to educate myself?
thanks in advance,
Paul
