1. multiplying both sides by 'x' and
   
   
2. then let x = 0

You want to find three values so you need three equations. You want this equation to be true for all values of x so put any three values of x in to get three equations.

You cannot set x= 0 in the equation given but, as Subhotsh Kahn said, you can multiply both sides by x and then setting x= 0 gives a very easy equation.
