A room has dimensions L metres by M metres by H metres high. It has a door D metres by Y metres and two windows each C metres by F metres. How many M^2 of paper is needed for the walls of the room ??

I have no idea on the dimensions etc. No idea at all. I'm trying to figure that out. I figured out calculating dimensions of the wall minus the windows and doors but how do I turn these into numbers. It's threw me .

First find the areas of the 4 walls.

What would be the dimensions of the 4 walls if the room was 8ft heigh, 5 feet wide and 6 ft long? Draw the picture! Look at the walls in the room you are minnow.

Since this is a duplicate post of one that is currently active can we all not respond to this post and simply respond to the other post. Thanks!

You appear to be saying that you do not know the difference between room volume (measured in cubic meters) and wall area (measured in square meters).
