I'll explain what one of the lines mean.
The lines that starts with $77,100 means that if your taxable income is between$77,100 and $160,850 then your tax is$15,698 plus 28% of the amount over $77,1000. Hopefully that will help you. #### Subhotosh Khan ##### Super Moderator Staff member can someone please provide steps and explain View attachment 29843 I'll do a similar but different problem for you, using the same table. What was the tax owed by a single taxpayer on a taxable income of$ 90,000?

The income is over 77100 but not over 160850. So we will use data 4 th row

90000 - 77100 = 12900

So the tax is 15698 +28% of 12900 = 15698 + 3612 = $19310 Follow the exact same procedure. If you don't follow something - tell us exactly where you are lost and we will provide you MapQuest and compass. #### Je--yMellow ##### New member I'll do a similar but different problem for you, using the same table.
