Please help!

In the usual way: once you have the same denominators, add the fractions by adding the numerators. For instance:

. . . . .2/5 + 1/5 = (2 + 1)/5 = 3/5

. . . . .3/7 + x/7 = (3 + x)/7

. . . . .1/(x - 4) + 3/(x - 4) = (1 + 3)/(x - 4) = 4/(x - 4)

...and so forth.

Hope that helps a bit.

Please help. How would I add this together? :?
( 7 / (x-5) ) + ( 3 / (x+5) )

stapel thought the numerators were the same...

try it this way:
a = x-5, b = x+5; then expression becomes:
7/a + 3/b
= (7b + 3a) / ab

now substitute back....
