Hello Everybody,

I was given a 20 question homework assignment on the different rules of differentiation. I have tried and tried, but cannot get a few questions. Out of the 20, there are 6 I am stuck on. If anyone can help me out, I would have no problems sending $ through paypal for all of your assistance. Here is an example of a question that needs help. (Please help me answer if possible)

sqrt(7*x/(2*x-1)) -- Find the first Derivative.

I can get the answer, but the steps it takes are the problem. The professor really wants to see ALL of the work. Anyway this is one of the 6 or so I am having trouble with if anyone can help and is willing to do so, I will take care of you via paypal.

IM me @ prophetroy (AIM)

Thanks a Million!

Just apply the rules you know one at a time
y=sqrt(7x/(2x-1))
u = 7x/(2x-1)
d(sqrt(u))=du/(2sqrt(u))

a=7x
b=(2x-1)
d(u)=
d(a/b)=(b*da-a*db)/b² =
((2x-1)d(7x)-7x*d(2x-1))/(2x-1)²

d(7x)=7
d(2x-1)=2

u' =
d(7x/(2x-1)) =
(14x-7-14x)/(2x-1)² =
-7/(2x-1)²

y'=-7/((2x-1)²sqrt(7x/(2x-1)))
