Find the slope of the line that goes through the given points and write an equation in poin-slope forn abd slope-intercept form.

(-2,5) (-1,-4)

I changed it to slope intecept form :

-4- (-5) = 14+5= 9 =9
-1-(-2) = -1+ 2=1

So my slope is 9

Please Help. Thank you so much

"Slope-intercept form" refers to line equations, not to points, so I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean when you say that you "changed" the points to slope-intercept form.

To find the slope through two points, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), just plug the x- and y-values into the slope formula:

. . . . .m = [y1 - y2] / [x1 - x2] = [y2 - y1] / [x2 - x1]

The only real significance of the subscripts is to remind you to subtract the x's in the same order that you subtracted the y's.

Hope that helps a bit.

Eliz.
