Ok for this problem im finding the answer to this quesiton.
(f+g)(x)

Heres my funciton values
f(x) = sqrt of x^2 - 4
g(x) = x^2/x^2 + 1

My Answer came out to be.
x^2 + x - 2 / x^2 + 1

I think im wrong though, im not sure what steps i took to solve it, any help would be appreciated thanks!

I don't know if f(x) is sqrt(x2) - 4 = |x| - 4, or sqrt(x2 - 4), but in either case, what happened to the square root when you added f(x) to g(x)?

Eliz.

. . . . .(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)

. . . . .(f - g)(x) = f(x) - g(x)

. . . . .(f × g)(x) = f(x) × g(x)

. . . . .(f ÷ g)(x) = f(x) ÷ g(x)

. . . . .(2f + 3g)(x) = 2[f(x)] + 3[g(x)]

...and so forth.
