hi , could you please help me anwer the following quesion:
I need to prove that:
max(P r(A), P r(B)) ≤ P r(A ∪ B)

In the future can you show some work so we know where you need help.

Since we have symmetry with A and B (because max(P r(A), P r(B)) ≤ P r(A ∪ B) is exactly the same statement as max(P r(B), P r(A)) ≤ P r(B ∪ A) we just need to prove that:
Pr(A) ≤ P r(A ∪ B).
Can you prove that? Do you understand why proving max(P r(A), P r(B)) ≤ P r(A ∪ B) is the same as proving P r(A)) ≤ P r(A ∪ B)?
