If rain is falling at the rate of 2 inches per hour, how many inches of rain will fall in x minutes??
a)2x b)30/x c) 60/x d) x/ 30.

I don't think its b or d because the question is asking about an hour, not 30 min.

I am not sur if my elimination is correct. I am also unsure if iits a or c.

c) if you have one hour, hoe many inched will fall in minuted in the hour???

a) 2 inches multiplies by the inches fallen in minutes.

Can someone help me? k thanx

60 minutes : 2 inches
1 minute: 2/60 = 1/30 of an inch
x minutes: (1/30) * x = x/30 inches

Have you heard of Dimensional Analysis?

\(\displaystyle \L\,2\,\frac{inch}{hour}*\frac{1 hour}{60 minutes}\)

Then what method are you supposed to be using?

Please reply with details, showing all of the steps you have tried thus far. The tutors will be glad to try to help you work through this exercise in the manner you're supposed to, but you will need to tell us what that manner is.

Thank you.

Eliz.
