Find the lateral area of a regualr octagonal pyramid if the slant height is 12 meters and the length of each side of its base if 6 meters.
Mad a picture.....

P = 8s
P = 8 (6)
P = 48

L = 1/2 Pl
L = 1/2 (48) (12)
L = 1/2 (576)
L = 288m^2

I get the same value, though by a different route: I found the area of one triangle with height 12 and base 6, and then multiplied by 8.

Good work! :D
